Alexandre B. de Moura, MD, FAAOS, attended Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Chicago, IL, and received his medical degree in 1990. Furthermore, he conducted his residency training in orthopedic surgery at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA (1990-1995). In addition, he completed his fellowship training in orthopedic and neurological spine surgery at the NYU Langone Medical Center (1995-1996). Dr. de Moura received board certification in orthopedic surgery from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He remains a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and member of the North American Spine Society, the New York Medical Society, and the Nassau County Medical Society. Dr. de Moura dedicates his spare time to Shotokan karate and oriental antiquing.
